SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Miami Valley Long Term Care Association Scholarship Program is an excellent opportunity to encourage careers and advancement in long-term care. Every year, through the Scholarship Program, we offer scholarships to two individuals seeking nursing certification (RN or LPN), Therapy (PT/PTA, SLP, OTR/COTA), Dietitian or Dietary Manager, Activities Director, Licensed Social Worker, or participating in the Administrator-In-Training program. Scholarship winners are chosen based on the individual’s commitment to working in long-term care, financial need, professional history and recommendations.
To qualify, applicants must be employed by a MVLTCA member facility for at least one year and either be currently in an AIT position or attending classes in an approved education program. To submit a colleague for our next Scholarship Program, use the application form below.
LEADERSHIP AWARD
Starting in 2008, every year MVLTCA recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the long-term care industry. At the annual MVLTCA December holiday luncheon, the individual chosen is recognized with our Leadership Award. Winners of this deserving category are awarded based on a series of criteria suitable to a great leader within our industry.
The criteria used to select the annual winner of the MVLTCA Leadership Award is based on the following:

CHARACTER – The recipient will be a person of integrity who is principled and persevering.

COMMITMENT – The recipient will have shown evidence of personal belief in the importance of contributing to the long term care industry.

ACHIEVEMENT – The recipient will have made significant contributions to the long term care industry.
Eligibility – There is no age eligibility for the award. Individuals may or may not be a current member or be employed by a current member entity of the MVLTCA.
